Inspired by the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (BPP) and their Oakland Community School, Free Breakfast Programs and People’s Free Medical Clinic, The Free People’s Wellness Clinic (FPWC) is rooted in a lineage of self determination and mutual aid. Built on the belief that we need each other, The Free People’s Wellness Clinic is committed to providing the people of South Central Los Angeles and beyond with the highest quality of free and holistic health care by calling on practitioners who also uphold these same principles of interdependence and community care. This mobile clinic is here to remind us that we have all that we need and as Malcom X once said, “We are not outnumbered, we are out organized” The FPWC is a model of what’s possible when we redirect our resources, prioritize care and organize to provide for each other.
